FEMA
Are you refinancing and having issues with
needing Flood Insurance? Don't worry, this is
common in Ozawkie. For some reason, several lots
in Ozawkie were considered to be in a flood plain.
If you look at the
FEMA Map,
all of the yellow highlighted areas have always been
considered to be outside of the flood plain. In
2004, I worked with FEMA to clear this issue up, by
filing a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA). I was
only able to get most of the lots out of the flood
plain, looking at the
FEMA Map,
the green highlighted lots are out of the flood plain
due to the LOMA. If you are in the
small percentage of people who I was unable to remove
from the flood plain, I apologize, for some reason, FEMA
is not budging on those lots.
The
following documentation can be submitted to your
mortgage company should clear everything up.
