Lassiter, organized a Tree
Planting & Pruning Education
Class on September 26th,
2007. Kim Bomberger, a
District Community Forester
from the Kansas Forest
Service in Manhattan, hosted
the class. All the
City employees and several
citizens attended the
workshop at the Township
Hall. The agenda was
as follows:
9am - 11am -
Classroom education program
and slideshow on proper tree
planting.
11am - Noon -
Demonstration by Ms.
Bomberger in the City Park
on how to properly dig a
hole and plant a tree.

Noon - 1pm - Lunch on
your own
1pm - 3pm - Classroom
education program and
slideshow on proper tree
pruning
3pm - 4pm -
Demonstration by Ms.

on how to properly prune
trees
